Whenever we talk about Infosys, the only name that comes to our mind is Narayana Murthy. And why not! He took Infosys to great heights during his tenure. After his retirement when Infosys faced bad times, he came back for their rescue at salary package of 1 Rs./year! But he is not the person we are going to talk about now, it’s his co-founder of Infosys, Mr Nandan Nilekani. In last article, we discussed about how talented people like Satya Nadella, leaving India and going abroad is harming our country's development. An initiative to provide a unique number to each and every citizen of our country. He resigned from the CEO of Infosys and took the responsibility to serve the nation. He carried out this multi-Purpose Nationality Identity card project to create government database of entire population of the country. He successfully carried out the responsibility shouldered upon him by the Govt. His target was to provide UID to 60 Cr. Indian by the end of 2014 and so far 58.7 Cr. already have it. Nandan Nilekani’s contribution is not just limited to Infosys and UIADI. He is contributing immensely in social and economic development of Bangalore. He has contributed in many more things and also helped to developing his city. He started to think about the problems one faces daily in his city. He wanted to contribute towards small small issues of the society for which he developed broader initiative, the Bangalore Agenda Task Force (BATF) in 1999.They work with public, private and NGO agencies to help resolve Bangalore's infrastructure and governance challenges and make Bangalore one of the fastest developing city of our country. He is a person who is ready to take each and every responsibilities upon him and work for the nation. He is very initiative toward solving the problems of society. Just imagine, what would have happen if Nandan Nilekani would had gone abroad like Satya Nadella and work over there. His way of working has benefited country so much and he is not done yet. Recently, while addressing the students of K M Nagraj College in Jayanagar and at the R V Dental College, he motivated them to start their own firms. He inspired them to work hard and work for the better future. Nandan Nilekani has showed that we can work in India if one has the firm determination to work. He has not only helping India but also setting an example of how successful you can become if you work hard. He is the best example of success for those who thinks that there is not much scope left in India and going abroad will give them the opportunity.
